{"id":2247,"date":"2025-03-06T22:25:45","date_gmt":"2025-03-06T22:25:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aikgul.com\/?p=2247"},"modified":"2025-04-09T10:11:11","modified_gmt":"2025-04-09T10:11:11","slug":"wenlin-studio-x-rosa-pomar-collaboration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aikgul.com\/?p=2247","title":{"rendered":"Wenlin Studio x Rosa Pomar Collaboration"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"769\" src=\"https:\/\/aikgul.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/AikGul1-1024x769.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2261\" style=\"width:783px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Last month, I hand-embroidered wool vests in 100% Portuguese wool, entirely sourced and produced in Portugal by Rosa Pomar.<br>The two vests available in this collection are&nbsp;inspired by the folklore of Punjab and Portugal.&nbsp;The Nag (snake) and the Lagarto (lizard) &#8211; two creatures deeply rooted in their respective mythologies &#8211; have influenced me throughout this project.<br>I embroidered the illustrations using Punjabi folk embroidery techniques on wool vests crafted from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/retrosaria.rosapomar.com\/products\/badana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Badana yarn<\/a>. These embroideries embody the duality of movement and stillness, transformation and resilience. The textured wool serves as a canvas for storytelling, where ancient symbols are reinterpreted through embroidery, blending the heritage of Portuguese wool craftsmanship with the artistry of Punjabi embroidery.
